One of those days where Mother Nature had the upper hand. I decided to go out from the lifeboat station as the waves were a little cleaber there and I was looking forward to a decent wave-sailing session.

Went out with my 4.5m and little wave board which was fine, nicely powered out through the white water a couple of nice big jumps then all of a sudden there was no wind, I was going nowhere when a huge wave came along, picked my up and simply dumped me back down again. Kit ripped out of my hands, and when I came back up it was nowhere to be seen so I had a big long swim back to the beach.

I found my kit, walked back upwind and had another go. Exactly the same thing, I got caught in a big lull and then got completely and utterly trashed!. After another big swim to retrieve my kit I decided that maybe enough was enough so called it a day.

Should have gone out from Ynyslas really as at least the waves are a little more forgiving there and I would have been out of the lee of the hill so the wind would have been a little less flukey.
